Yuri Gitahy de Oliveira | BSc, MSc, MBA

Yuri has been a tech entrepreneur since 1995, when he founded his first internet startup. On his early career, he paid the bills as a software developer, an IBM network administrator, and a Sun Microsystems instructor while helping RNP’s efforts to spread the Brazilian internet. Two years before the bubble burst, he helped bootstrap Brasil Online, incorporated in 2000 by Universo Online. Performing as a Team Leader, Project Manager, and later as Systems Engineering Manager, he helped create, plan and launch large-scale web services and internet applications for four years. In 2003 he became CTO and partner at Vetta Technologies, an offshore IT provider. Representing various clients over the past ten years, he learned a little bit about consulting in projects with firms such as McKinsey, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, and Accenture. Since his MSc, he’s been teaching and coordinating undergratuate and graduate courses related to Internet, Web, and Information Technology for institutions such as UFMG, PUC, and FJP.

Since 2007, when he founded Krenak as an IT consulting company, Yuri spends his free time helping startups grow from zero to business.
